Life is a journey of many, many steps. And while each of us are at a unique place in our journey, there are needs that we can expect to share along the way.
Here at Union Center Christian Church, we value you, no matter where you are on your journey. If you would like some help understanding where you might be on your journey with God, click here for more information.
We want to help you know and follow Jesus in this season of your journey. Here is a list of opportunities currently available:
We offer other experiences to help you follow Christ personally and with others. Click here for the experiences we are currently providing.
The Way: Hope in Christ when life hurts
The Way is a ministry focused on experiencing hope, healing, and life through Jesus. This ministry is designed to help those who hurt, or those who want to grow in how to practice their faith in everyday life.
Participants will connect in safe relationships, get training for life practices that Jesus modeled, experience life-giving relief from soul-crushing weights, and grow in hope.
This ministry requires no starting commitment. You can attend the 45 minute large group, on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. until you feel comfortable letting yourself be known in a small group environment. Gender-specific small groups immediately follow the large group. These are focused on sharing about what is being learned or practiced by using the curriculum.
Whoever you are, know that there is hope for you in Jesus, and practical, life-giving ways to follow Jesus in your day-to-day living. Know that God says you are of great value, and on Monday nights there is a place where others will seek to treat you as such.
Starting Monday, September 9th, at 6:30 p.m., come to The Way and find hope in Christ with us.
College Students/Young Adults
Transit’s vision is to support college age students and young adults by helping them connect with peers, build community, grow spiritually, and serve others.

The Men’s Ministry at Union Center is about camaraderie, affirmation, personal development and spiritual growth.
According to churchformen.com:
- A significant number of churchgoing men attend out of habit, unaffected by what they hear.
- Quite a few men go to church simply to keep their wives/mothers/girlfriends happy.
- The majority of men who attend church do nothing during the week to grow their faith.
We want to meet each one of you where you are at. Join us every Monday night at 6:30PM, as we challenge each other with where the Bible relates to our daily lives, as we connect over quarterly meals, and as we regularly engage our bodies to serve others in our community.

Our 55 Alive group is open to everyone 55 (ish) and older. We plan monthly events that provide a place for us to enjoy social activities while we enjoy one another's company. We also develop a connected community of people who care for and look after one another. You don't need to "join" the group, just show up to an event that sounds interesting and come meet new friends.
All of our events are advertised on this website or in the church bulletin.
Please contact Mary Beth Vasicko at (607)-692-7856 if you have any general questions about the group.
Our Widows Fellowship is designed to provide encouragement and support to one another through fellowship while learning God's Word. Loneliness is a major factor of widowhood, and we desire to minister God's love to one another.
Sometimes it's a lunch meeting, games, or a party; each month when we meet it's different. Our events are open to any woman who has experienced the loss of her husband, including women who do not attend Union Center Christian Church. Events are advertised in the church bulletin, but you are welcome to email us if you have any questions.
For more information contact Laura Kasson at firstname.lastname@example.org or (607)-754-8222.
If you are you interested in learning more about upcoming ministry events for widows, please contact Phyllis at (607)-797-3032.
Individuals and families meet in communities near their home, for monthly meals and fun. If you are feeling the need to get more connected, this is a great place to start! For more information contact Pastor Bill at email@example.com or (607)-754-8222.
