When we look at our children we see promise and hope. And we take our role as parents, teachers, and helpers seriously. We know that what kids experience here in church on Sunday mornings makes a difference in how they view God. That's a big responsibility!
We aim to bring Bible stories to life so that children can learn about God's strength and character. Some people say that kids are too young to understand spiritual things. We disagree. We know that kids are able to genuinely love God and decisively follow Jesus.
And that's why we're here. We want to help set a strong foundation for their faith. Combined with faithful teaching from home, we can help ground the next generation of children in God's truth.
Our classes, called Shepherd's Town, use the small group format. Children begin in a large group for singing and stories, and then break up into smaller groups for discussion. We add drama in order to get their minds imagining what might have been, illustrating that God is involved in the details of our lives.
Shepherd's Town runs simultaneous to both services: 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
