Our Philosophy

God has promised to meet the needs of His people. He often accomplishes this through “His people.” This section of our website details the different ways that people at Union Center Christian Church have come together to offer assistance to those in need.

Soul Care

Life Struggles

At one time or another, each of us needs help and support to navigate life’s difficulties and discover how to experience the life, hope, and love of Jesus in our every-day circumstances. To provide the information, training, and loving community needed we offer a ministry called Re:generation. It is an authentic community, where you can find hope, freedom, and a new way of life as you follow Jesus. For more information about Re:generation, please contact Pastor Bill Sprouse at bsprouse@unioncenter.org.

Help in Connecting with God

Connecting with others we can see can be difficult. Connecting with God, who we can’t see, can bring further questions and difficulties. We want to help! Several times a year we provide an experience for people to have space and a little guidance about authentically connecting with God. These prayer retreats are designed to help you experience prayer and reading the Bible that can translate to everyday life, and enable you to connect daily with God beyond these experiences. They are designed to provide enough guidance for those new to prayer and connecting with God, and enough space to be beneficial for those who have been following Jesus for years. For more information about our next Prayer Retreat, please contact our office at (607) 754-8222.

Financial Guidance

Are you facing financial challenges? We want to help! There are those in our church who can help you gain financial wisdom, and set a direction for the needed steps to take for financial wholeness. For more information, please contact the church office at (607)-754-8222.

Handyman Ministry

The Handyman Ministry is a ministry of the Body of Christ at Union Center Christian Church to those attending Union Center Christian Church and our neighbors in the surrounding community. This ministry will provide help with home repairs and maintenance to those in need.

Life Services

Marriage is a sacred covenant that calls for a significant beginning. Your wedding ceremony should be a truly meaningful event. We would be happy to be a part of it.

We want couples to have the best possible start in the most important earthly relationship they will ever enter into. God created man and woman, and from the beginning He intended that they be joined in marriage so that each might give to one another what the other lacked. Since God designed the marriage relationship, it makes sense that He knows best how to build a happy marriage. His Word contains basic principles that should be applied when building a fulfilling marriage.

Funerals at Union Center Christian Church honor the person who has passed away and offer hope and compassion to those who are grieving. Our ministers and staff come alongside family and friends who have lost loved ones to offer comfort and encouragement.

We are here to support you in your time of grief by offering a minister to comfort and guide you through this process.

To arrange a funeral, please call the church office at (607)-754-8222. Our staff will work with you and your family to identify a minister to perform the service. The minister will meet with family members as soon as possible to gather information and make preparations.

Union Center Christian Church will provide a room if you would like to have your Small Group or friends host an after services reception for your family and friends.  Arrangements for use of this room should be coordinated through the church office.

There are no building fees for funerals held on the Union Center Christian Church campus. However, if you have special needs such as tech assistance, there will be fees for these services.
